This Mixed Media course introduces students to a variety of art media to make process oriented art works. Students will use collage, drawing, printing and painting techniques to create works on paper and panels. No experience is necessary! This is a fun class where students will get to explore and create without pressure to be perfect or copy what the teacher does.

Concepts and methods taught in this course will include:

• Composition- systems for composing space

• Collage

• Monotype printing

• Iterative art works

• Color schemes

• Combining and layering materials

• Additive and subtractive techniques

• Mark making techniques

This class is for kids ages 8 and up and will be held every Thursday Afternoon from 4-6pm. April 10th through May 15th.

Jean Richardson will be the instructor for this NAC Art Course. She has received a BFA in Drawing and Painting and an MFA in Studio Arts. She has been teaching art for 15 years, and has taught students from elementary school aged up to the college level.
